Formal speech-language evaluation to assess your child’s areas of strength and need as compared to same-age peers. Includes parent interview, test administration, feedback/discussion of results, and full speech-language report. Services are available for families located within Monmouth County, New Jersey and Ocean County, New Jersey.

in-home or community based Speech-language Therapy

Individualized, evidence-based speech therapy for children ages birth through 18. Targets may include receptive language (comprehension,) expressive language (use of language,) articulation, social skills, oral-motor difficulties, Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC,) and more. 45 or 60 minute sessions are available weekly or twice weekly, pending availability. Services are available for families located within Monmouth County, New Jersey and Ocean County, New Jersey.

Virtual consultations & TeleTherapy

Virtual speech therapy via Zoom is available for New Jersey residents outside of Ocean and Monmouth Counties. Consultations are available for out-of-state families.

The Hanen Centre’s More than words program®

The More Than Words Program was designed specifically for parents of children ages 5 and under on the autism spectrum and with other social communication difficulties. Addressing the unique needs of these children, the program provides parents with the tools, strategies and support they need to help their children reach their full communication potential. This program is run via Zoom at this time.

Ascend Together: language development course

A 4-week, 1-1 parent training program with a certified speech-language pathologist. Each week, we will cover a new topic specific to your child and family needs. Your child does not need to have a formal language diagnosis or concerns to participate in this service; if you are a parent who wants to learn more about what to expect in early language development and how to facilitate it, this program is a fit for you. This service is provided via Zoom at this time.

Ascend Pediatric Therapies is out of network with insurance companies at this time.
We are able to provide a Super Bill, which is a a document that families can submit to their insurance company to attempt to be reimbursed through Out of Network coverage. Therapy services are also generally eligible for use of FSA/HSA funds.
